Born and raised in South Jersey. Currently located in New York.
I moved to New York in 2014 to study pharmacy. Graduated in 2020 with a PharmD and currently practicing in a hospital setting, but resuming my passion for capturing my world through a lens.
My idea of photography sprouts from the idea of perspective. Where, a captured moment can only been seen in that second, even if you were to return to the exact same spot. What you’ve seen, what you felt, can’t be reproduced.
With art idealized as “in eye of the beholder,” my idea of art is to share my perspective of the world through my eyes with the hope of inspiring or expanding a different perspective.
I liked the idea of BUTIMASIAN (But I’m Asian), as an “alias” because it didn’t tie into my life as I dived into the medical field. With BUTIMASIAN I want to explore my creative side with various projects, starting with photography.
Look around at the world that surrounds you. It can be beautiful.
